Thank you all. I entered this in the current Arizona wide projected image competition. Perhaps, I'll get an acceptance, but it's judges rarely like any image divorced from reality, even though the category is Creative. |

I prefer it less blurred. The colors and delicacy you achieved are fantastic!
Assuming you have cropped your original, my only ideas are to rotate it about 30 degrees clockwise. Alternatively, try converting this image to a portrait and just rotate the flower a bit counterclockwise.

An entirely different feel could be given by adding blue to the sky.
Of course, it's excellent as is. |

I think the new variation is dazzling. Little changes make a big difference to my eye. |

Yes. Again, I think the image offers a large number of imaginative variations. |

I didn't find the original interesting, because I knew when I captured it how I would edit it. I do like your ides of adding a bird to it.
I like the edited version as is because the shapes draw my eye in a mesmerizing way. However, I will try to think of ways to add interest, because I know many of my graphic designs are too static. Maybe, I can add a paper tear to reveal a glimpse of something.
You stimulated my thinking. |

Welcome Tom,
I look forward to seeing more of your digital creativity. I had a similar concern about not having a recognizable photographic object in my images. Personally, I could have accepted your image as having originated as a photograph, but it's good that you told us that it started as a blank slate.
I think the image is well done, but I wonder if the burst of light on the right edge might, in reality, be brighter on the outside. I think this image offers many possibilities for making new versions. Have fun. |

I like this a lot! Trees frame it well. The color of the leaves is appealing. The branches create a leaded glass effect too. All contribute to make an outstanding image to my eye.
Excellent images often lend themselves to additional versions. Perhaps you'd like to try cropping off the top half and some of the bottom to make a landscape. Someone might also add a silhouette or other object of focus on the horizon line. Just throwing out ideas for you if you have time on your hands. |
