That was the actual sky, not a replacement.
as far as the hot spots go, I left them because they were naturally there.
I dont mind them since in a real sky you would probably not have complete cloud coverage.
As far as the crosswalk, well I see your point, however I prefer to think of it as leading me to the back of the image where my eyes pick up more of those awesome curves.

I agree and strive to give strong contrast in BW.
I learned from Rick Sammon - "Contrast is King"
now sure how far you are, but if you make the trip now you will have the whole place to yourself.
