This is much better as a Black and White. The play between light and shadow is much more "visable". That light and shadow also acts as a leading line! Your exposure is quite good considering the circumstances. A great deal of light on the left and much less light on the right. I am so surprised at the detail in the roof lines! This photo has "depth". You can feel it. I would dodge just a little on the right of the arch. I gave it a try and used the dodge tool to bring out some additional detail. I also used warp to straighten the last pillar on right. |

Black and White is best for this one. The sky is perfect and not blown out anywhere. Composition is spot on. I think the back haunches and the neck area are underexposed. I used the dodge tool to try and bring out some of that detail. The shot from the rear adds interest I think. Unfortunately, the right front leg's position could make you think that is this buck's penis. I have a friend in Pittsburgh who is an artist. He gave me some advice concerning photography. "Show gravity". This image shows gravity. The buck is struggling against gravity. It adds tension and interest to the image. |

This grabs your attention and holds it! Depth of field is perfect. All attention is on the firefighter. B&W is an excellent choice. His eye is mesmerizing. I think the firefighter benefits from a little dodging in his neck area. |

Harley. This is very creative. The music and a hand really sets this off! |
