This good as a vertical. The exposure is very good. Pretty good focus for 1/50th second. I would burn in some detail on the bus and get rid of the distracting wire in front of the traffic. |

This is story telling at its best! Closing the space between mother and daughter adds significantly to this story. The story I "see" is that the daughter is bringing a flower to her mother but something out front of them has captured their attention. This has to be black and white. |

First, I am more than ok with the white background. It really sets off the flowers in a bold way. There are three subjects, which is perfect. Basically there are two leading lines that take the eye to the poppy. (Maybe get rid olf the leaf directly below the poppy?). This fun to look at! It would be great on a wall in a sunroom! It would be interesting to use a painting effect on this. This is the Van Gogh version of your photo, Georgia O'Keeffe was good too as well as a Turner sunset. |

How many times do we set out with a predetermined photo goal and it doesn't work out? That is when looking up and looking down comes in handy! This perect composition and subtle color!
This is delicate and precise. Wonderful leading lines and even water drops! I have tried to come up with a pun using "anther' and "filament". Alas, it is not meant to be. |

First, I agree with Bunny and Andrew, this is perfect for the 4th of July. The crop is perfect. This woodpecker is a star and he knows it. The colors are so beautiful. Nice highlight in his eye. Good detail in the feet. Background sets off the subject. I wounder about all the detail in the branch. I may be distracting. Camera Raw has an adjustment that enables you to blur a foreground. It is called lens blur. I tried it and all I could blur was the bottom of the branch. I used the blur tool with a bit more success. |

An exciting photo that captures a captivating moment in the Mojave Desert. The metors add excitement! The mountain peaks are a perfect leading line taking my eye to the right. Is that bright spot the moon? I expect it isn't city lights. You have a nice capture of the Milky Way. Your composition is text book, 2/3rds sky and 1/3rd land. Still, I wounder if you could crop just a little more to reduce the the sand in front of the peaks. The shy and the peaks are the "stars" here. On the other hand, that sand may add an element of balance. |
