Bruce, this is quite creative. The incense gives a "perfect" amount of smoke. You thought this out well. The lighting increased the story telling. The skull dominates this. I think it would be interesting to try other subjects with this smoke effect: a real animal skull, a candle, a book, .... There are quite a few possibilites. |

This is a wonderful nature shot! Flipping it was wise. You have plenty of room on the right for the goose to continue flight. The wing position is perfect! You can feel the goose fighting gravilty to maintain flight! Excellent idea to blur the background and the appearance of the water complements the speed of flight. |

I have seen this house in many places and in many states. It must have been a regular design. That is a very powerful tree and it seems that Spring has come as the smaller tree is covered with blossoms. Lane, the foreground is just eviscerating the mill. Because of that, to me, the image is incomplete. This might have been better if shot from the other side, especially if the wheel is there. We can't always get what we want. If you had no access, then "what can you do?" |

This is stunning. The sky adds magic to this image. You have nice reflection and the golden light in the bottom third of the image complements the sky. The shape of the iceburg brings to my mind a "slice". I am ok with the dark gray of the background iceberg. I agree with Bruce and I think the subject iceberg would benefit from a little less grey. |

This is just perfect as a horizontal. The bug is the subject but it is counter balanced by seed on the right. The depth od field complements this photo. The stem that runs the entire frame left to right is a very good touch here. It too adds to the balance act in this image. I would get rid of the plant that is below and behind the bug. I don't think your ISO was that high. |
