White birds at high noon. You did well with the camera as there isn't any part of the birds that is over exposed. I don't have a problem with the background because that shows the birds' environment. I don't think it is a distraction because my eye goes right to the birds and stays there. With that said, I really like Harley's tighter crop. So - you have two very good images. |

This is quite imaginative. Drone photography interests me. I like the train forming a strong line bisecting the image. The "treatment" adds interest. I would do something with the sides of the rail cars. They are overexposed and detract from the image. Linda's suggestion takes care of this. Very abstract.

This does look like a film image. There is a great deal of noise and I believe you wanted it that way. The sepia treatment works well this image and I think makes it look like a much older style photo. I don't think the tree on the right adds anything positive to the image. I would crop out as much as possible. You have a basically square crop and that works well here. There are some overexposed areas in the sky. My eye goes there. I would try to darken that. |

You were close to me when you took this picture Linda. The tree really stands out. Its position on the steep bank creates tension. This tree has been through a great deal in its first for survival. The background for the tree is half sky and half riverbank; yet the contrast is spot on. I think the clump of yellow/orange shrub is distracting. I would crop it out or desaturate it. You could also use the distort tool and just pull it out of the photo.

This is outstanding creativity, color and impact. Especially impact! Light and contrast! The type of bulb would be something that could be varied. I can recall some very old bulbs that would be great to experiment with. It takes patience to come up with this! Very well done! |
