The "rules' of photography are made to be broken. This is one such image. The image is "defined" by the rain. This bird isn't going anywhere so it doesn't need any more room. The slight motion blur complements the story telling here. Exposure for the head is great. Thay is what counts here! The raindrops are exaggerated - but that too is part of the story here. I think this kestrel just might be a little miserable. |

Depth of field is excellent. Your image has multiple layers so to speak. That gives it depth! It is very pleasing how the flowers are in separate clusters that have green star bursts in the background. |

This is a great study of subject and reflection. You have very black blacks and very white whites. I would like a bit more grey. Can you dodge the bottom of the bridge to bring out just a bit of detail there? I think it would make a big difference. |

The background certainly was a distraction. I would crop this a little different. I would give the bird more room on the left by cropping a little bit more off the right. Even a more square crop? The bird is diagonal so that is probably the best crop. I like the colors and detain. Mid back is a little over exposed. I would suggest cloning some feathers there. |

The composition and exposure are spot on! Multiple leading lines pull the eye to the bridge. The purple light on the bridge and the reflection is a great contrast to the rest of the image! The shadow in the foreground adds interest! |
