Thank you Bruce. I will try darkening the left corner. This is a Texas Olive blossom. We have two of these trees. I like the bright yellow and the the pure white. These flowers are quite small! I don't do much macro and and still learning. I have learned that the camera lens must be aligned directly opposite the subject. These blossoms photograph well when they are backlite. |

The depth of field is perfect. I would crop more off the top and maybe on the left too! Is that bit of orange a distraction. Maybe just darken the splash of orange? I would definitely get rid of the green stem that dissects the image. |

My take on this is that the ambient light is soft and complements the poppy. I think the blue sky and clouds subtract from the subject. |

The framing from the arch is very good. The blue sky needs to go! The eye is drawn to the light. Needs cropped a little on left and more on the right. I like it that the subjects are in silhouette. It is possible to brighten the entire image to get more of their faces and then use history to remove the bright except for their faces.

Linda, it doesn't need sharpened. It doesn't need more saturation. What I have in my image is the actual color. I am happy with that. ASs to the angle it is something I always consider. I rely on gravity. I always want my emphasis point to be pushing against gravity - not being sucked in. |

Your background texture complements the onion as to color and texture. The sprout speaks volumes. Especially when compared to the onion "bulb". Very sharp. I like the lighting. Nice job.

Yes, I concur - flower month. I am intrigued by the focus stacking. I really must try this! I think this image is beautiful and compelling. The colors are soft and the the focus is sharp left to right and top to bottom. |
