You have a very active group here. I like this image very much! The composition is very good and the split rail fence provides an excellent foreground. The light from the inside of the cabin provides dramatic impact! |

Well, I am never that lucky. I did get a yellow bellied marmot in a photo where I originally intended to photograph an interesting rock formation. |

I like to use a prime lens when I can. Especially helps in low light. I could have shot a lower shutter speed. Yes I think that would be good to darken the twig. There isn't any more image on the right. I could create that extra space and will give it a try. Thank you so very much for taking the time to comment on this photo! |

I like the black background. The colors are quite lovely! The green stem in the upper left I think subtracts from the image. My eye goes there and it shouldn't. I have not done any focus stacking yet. Looks like you did a good job with it. Is this cactus flower possibly too large for a macro lens? Welcome to our group. |

Work with the conditions at hand. Fast shutter speed was important. I agree with Bruce. Give this pelican some room on the right. The noise is very pronounced in background. Because of that I would not try any sharpening. Instead blur background even more? |

This is a good crop. Depth of field is sharp where it needs to be. I think the tail in bottom of image is a distraction since it is so sharp. I would crop that out. The eyes are what is important here! I would light up the eyes a bit! Dodge a bit and even dodge/highlight the reflections. A very good image! Welcome to our group. |

Better as a black and white. There are three loaders. I don't think detail in upper third adds anything to this photo. |
