You are right about it not being clear there are books in the boxes. Best place to get free boxes is the grocery store. |

That is a good idea and it is a easy fix to get rid of "Bargain Spot" |

My eye goes to bird and stays there. That is good. I just think bird needs to stand out from surroundings. |

I just fooled around a little in Photoshop. Just another approach - which may not be any good at all. It is just what I look for in my candid portraits. |

verything works well in this image. I expect this is a HDR effect? Works especially well on background hat and shirt. I believe I would try to bring out eyes and left side of his face by using dodge tool. Maybe a little of the beard too. That is only a suggestion. You got a very good exposure on this image and my hat is off to you for that. Good crop and composition. |

I like this very much and you put a great deal of effort into it. My eye goes right where it should go. The highlight in eyes is a real "wow" factor in this image. |

Harry, I don't this effect works well, for this type image. Since the bird is the subject, I would think it should be clear and sharp. That is only my opinion. I am sure more "artistic" people would disagree. |

What a story this image tells! I read your "how I did it" and immediately looked up radial filter! I like composition. shutter speed - aperture excellent for this image. A great image and facial expression of grandfather is priceless! |

I really like this image. It is well composed and just stunning to my mind. Terrific as a black and white! I understand that the color image might also be beautiful and that is why same images in color and black and white are treated as separate images by PSA. This image just flows from right to left! What a leading line! The ripples fascinate me as they fade into left portion of the image. The sky complements that! I might play around with the crop to see possibilities of placing pier not exactly in middle. Well done! I will note the 30 second exposure and using polarizer. |
