43 Mar 17 Comment This is all about the island, the tree and the light. I think it needs straightened. Foreground important. Background not so much. The light is everything in this photo. I straightened and cropped. I like the sunlight in upper middle/left. I like the streaming sum right to middle. I dodged and burned the reflections. Mar 15th

43 Mar 17 Comment Well, I was very impressed by this photo. For several reasons. First it tells a story and second it has impact. Serenity is a mood and qualifies as impact. I especially like the foreground and the reflections on water (tide pool). Figure is great and background outstanding. High surf contrasting with the tranquility in foreground.
I would suggest a different crop! I don't think that bright sun does anything for this image; especially since you have wonderful highlights and reflection in foreground. My eye is eventually pulled to the sun (which is after all blown out)
