It has been well captured, but is too dark as it stands. I think that Jim's suggestion solves the problem, and shows that this is a very interesting shot of a very interesting bird! |

A well caught image, showing full detail of this stunning bird. I wouldn't lighten the background, but I would soften the lighter areas. |

Wow, I love it. The detail is great, and tells us a lot about the bird. I can't fault it. Well done! |

The action is great, but I feel that the detail on the bird itself has been slightly over-sharpened. I also find your inclusion bottom right is distracting! The separation from the background is well handled. |

I am not sure the addition of the male helps the shot. The male itself is very well captured and would make a great close-up stand alone image. If you keep both in the frame, perhaps they could be closer together? |

A striking bird, beautifully caught. I did see if I could do anything to lighten it's eye, but I was unsuccessful. Other than that it is a great shot! |

An amazing visitor to your garden. Well caught with it's beak wide open, and some terrific feather detail. The reflection adds to the shot. Great! |
