Super technique has created a great image. I like it a lot, maybe something swimming or floating in the water on the right would help to break up a bit of a bland area? |

I reckon it is very colourful and would make a great background for a more intricate image. On it's own, I'm not sure, although it is growing on me as I view it. I thought that the 3 blue plants at the bottom could be runners speeding through the grass! |

Beautifully captured! I particularly like the fact that each bird has a clear space. I don't feel that the extra branch bottom right spoils the composition. First time I have ever viewed a Hoatzin!

Lovely white Ibis pic. You have done well to keep definition in the white plumage. The eye is really sharp and the background nicely diffused. I hadn't noticed the bee until Leslie mentioned it! |

They are grey heron, which is the common variety in UK! |

Super, sharp image of the two birds caught at a good moment. You have controlled the lighting and colouration on their plumage perfectly, which couldn't have been easy. There is also a lovely shape to the subjects. I would like to know more about the birds, since they are not found here in UK. |

A beautiful coloured image of the two bee-eaters caught at a great moment. I find it a pity that the background is so busy that it competes slightly with the definition of the birds. I have applied colour correction and haze removal to your image, and I think maybe it helps to isolate the birds and the branch from the competition. |

I am not normally the first to comment, but I found myself at a loose end this morning. You have caught the bird at exactly the right moment as it entered the water, even with the splash behind the beak. I know it is hard to avoid white-out on light sections of birds, and you have done well to retain definition in the plumage. I hope you don't object to my suggested adjustment to the dark areas, which has brought out some interesting spray points in the black feathers.
A really great image! |

This one for me since it gets round the colour clash! |

Thanks for the lesson, Jan. I am completely self-taught in Photoshop, so there are techniques that I haven't been aware of. Strangely, there are also a couple of unconventional ways I do stuff that work well. I did initially try the horizontal correction of the bridge, but decided that compositionally the slant gave a touch of nice slight variation. |

A very peaceful image, well constructed. The addition of the single bird is a good thought. I find that the reduced opacity of the birds to the left irritates slightly, and I would have kept them at the same density as the rest. I also suggest extending the background far right a tad, so that the birds are not quite so close to the edge of the image. Very minor points though to a great composition. |

Another very colourful image, and to my mind a splendid one! It took me quite a while to spot the face which is blended well within the final picture. This works on two different levels, and also has some nice humour! |

A very attractive image full of movement. My only though is that the red areas in the original are competing somewhat with the yellow silks of the dancer. If you could find a way of changing the red to a more compatible light orange colour. I feel that this might improve! A great image, all the same. |

I like the clouds against the clear portion of the original image, but for me the light trees mid-right and the red petals are in competition with each other. I feel that if you tone down this tree section you will have a very satisfactory image. |

A very clever composition, and construction of the heart. The lighting to the original gives depth to the curved part of the image. Well achieved! |

Thanks Steve. I did notice this when I posted, and tried to correct it. Every time I try to post the corrected version it posts the original! I will try once more! |
