You have turned this in to a very dramatic image. The banana plants almost seem like aliens and remind me of those in the novel The Day of the Triffids by Jon Wyndham. I think you've cropped and processed this brilliantly to make the most of the original. This is very unusual and imaginative work. |

This indeed is a very attractive spot. I like the bluish tones that you have achieved in this. I think the table, chairs and parasol make an attractive image in themselves so I tried cropping the top off just above the door and window. This just leaves a suggestion of the cottage in the background. I particularly find the contrast between the manmade elements, the table, chairs, door, window and chiminea, and the foliage very appealing. Great work. |

In these strange times it is indeed difficult to get out to shoot something new. I found this quite intriguing and had to look closely at your original, and your explanation, to work out what it was. Indeed it does look like a strange creature. One of the problems with macro photography is the shallow depth of field which can only really be overcome with focus stacking but full marks to you for trying something different. |

This is a scene that many would simply walk past without seeing but I certainly feel that it is a worthy subject. You have expertly brought out the contrast between the light foliage and the darker areas, presumably reflections, in the water. I just wonder whether a slightly tighter crop at the top would enhance the image. A lovely image. |

Thank you Helen, I am always nervous about colouring my images as I am never sure if I've achieved an acceptable balance. The darker line is actually the creek but unfortunately it wasn't possible to gain access to it without a boat. |

This is a very pleasing scene and as usual your processing has enhanced the image. Your work on removing the sun flare is excellent, I cannot detect any sign of it. I agree with Helen's suggestion i.e. that a little more contrast in the banks would add to the image. As has already been said, the composition is well thought out as it leads the eye along the stream to the bridge. |
