This image has a dreamlike quality which I find very appealing. There area lot of elements in it which some may say make it a little busy. However I find that the inclusion of the trees in the foreground gives the house an air of mystery. As has already been said your processing is superb. Every element is pin sharp and the tonal quality is excellent. A lovely image. |

You have an enviable talent of being able to find small details within larger scenes. The stonework, presumably built around natural rock is very interesting. I think Sharon's suggested crop improves the image. By placing the lighter fern slightly to the right of the image it becomes a focal point that then leads the eye through to the arch and the trees beyond. The subtle toning suits the subject. Lovely work. |

When I first looked at this I thought it must have been taken in the UK or elsewhere in Europe but no you do have castles in the US after all, albeit a replica. The most interesting part of the building is the central area with the two turrets. I feel that the area on the right is less interesting and rather dominant so if you have an opportunity to return maybe you could take it from a slightly different angle. |

What an unusual image. The mushrooms are delightful as is the texture in the bark. I think I would crop this image to a square which would place even more emphasis on the mushrooms and it would also reduce the amount of sky in the image. I too would blur or reduce the noise in the sky. I use the blur tool when all else fails. |

This image leapt off the page at me and initially I thought it had been taken in South Africa or Namibia as there are many similar rock formations there. You have brought out all the detail in the boulders which I love and find quite fascinating, what forces of nature resulted in them being so rounded and smooth?. There is a little noise in the sky which you may be able to address using Topaz perhaps, but overall this is a superb image. |

You do have such wonderful scenery in the US. This is a lovely image. My first thoughts, without looking at the comments, were that the grass, bushes and trees tend to merge together and that you need a little more separation between them. It seems I am echoing the suggestions made by others. Other than this I cannot suggest any other improvements. |

Thank you to everyone for your helpful comments. Yes I agree that the headstone in the form of the cross is the main attraction in this image. I have a better one of the church but without the cross. Maybe I should try combining the two images. |

Yes, I did mean Norfolk, England. Thank you for your suggestions on how to improve this. I did try using NIK to increase the drama of the sky but it created a lot of noise so I have used Topaz to reduce this. Maybe there is a compromise, I will have a go. I'll also try the transform tool to correct the perspective which I hadn't thought of using. |
