35 Jul 20 Comment Thanks for the suggestions.I had a go at removing the noise with Topaz AI Denoise but I wasn't entirely satisfied so I've processed the image again. This time I played with the settings in Silver Effex and produced this version which has less noise. Jul 15th
35 Jul 20 Reply Thanks for this Terry. The memorial is at Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire. It was erected in memory of Lord Frederick Cavendish who was an English liberal politician. He was a protegee of Prime Minister William Gladstone who appointed him as Chief Secretary for Ireland in May 1882 but he was murdered shortly after his arrival in Ireland. He was the second son of William Cavendish the 7th Duke of Devonshire. I have Topaz AI Denoise so I will give it a go. Jul 14th
35 Jul 20 Comment I really admire the way you always manage to achieve such crisp images.Everything about this is appealing, good composition with the structure in the foreground leading the eye through to the trees in the background, a lovely sky and great colour. Beautiful. Your notes are very helpful as I too am struggling to achieve satisfactory colours so tend to leave my images as black and white. Jul 14th
35 Jul 20 Comment It is a shame that the parking lot wall blocks the lower part of the trees from sight. To me this wall acts as a barrier to the more interesting part of the image, which of coarse is the the trees and their reflections in the building.I also find the reflection of the other building interesting. I wonder if you took any images looking over the wall? Jul 14th
35 Jul 20 Comment A lovely simple image and the contrast between the gold of the foliage and the dark sky is very striking. The strength of this image is definitely in its simplicity. There is nothing I can suggest to improve it. I like it very much just the way it is. Jul 14th
35 Jul 20 Comment A very creative image, I love it. Such a huge improvement on the original. Full marks to you for seeing the potential. I too like to experiment with textures although I haven't tried them in combination with IR yet.I also seem to have a large percentage of failures so have now invested in the book Sharon refers to. The plus side of the current pandemic, if indeed there is one, is that we all seem to have more time to spend on our images, although not to take new ones. Stay safe. Jul 14th
35 Jul 20 Comment Another simple but lovely image from you.The gold/yellow of the vegetation is very attractive. The cottage is also attractive and typical of this part of Cumbria. I don't think I can suggest any improvements other than the one suggested by Sharon. Jul 14th
