Thanks Helen. I was disappointed that the lighthouse tower seemed to merge with the sky hence its apparent fuzziness. I will have to go back on a sunny day. The lighthouse is at the far end of the nature reserve, near the southern most tip of the island. It's a very pleasant walk. |

This is a very different shot to the normal IR images submitted to the group. I find it quite intriguing. You appear to have a very small depth of field so I assume it was taken with a macro lens. As the chrysalis is the main subject I would have liked to see it more in focus and maybe the bright area behind it toned down a bit but it's a fascinating natural history image, do keep up the experimentation. |

This is a very striking image Helen. The tower is pin sharp and the sky behind it is very attractive. I might have taken a little off the right, perhaps to make it in to a square image, which I think would have emphasised the tower even further and added more drama to the image but I also like it just as it is. A very strong image. |

I too prefer the reflection as there is more interest in it. I find it a little disconcerting that the edge of the pond leans downwards to the left but I am not sure you could do anything about this without causing the statue and its column to lean. I notice also there is what appears to be another building behind the column and I would like to have seen more of this. Maybe it would have been possible to take this from a slightly different angle to reveal more of the building behind? |

You have again produced a quality record of the devastation wrought by the tornado. I find the inclusion of what looks like the remains of a domestic appliance adds to the sense of loss and personal tragedy. The beauty of the sky contrasts with the remains of the buildings and rubble. Will you be documenting the rebuilding of the area too? |

This is certainly an interesting building. It was well worth the effort you have put in to the image. My only comment is that the colour from the roof appears to be bleeding in to the sky, I am not sure whether this is an effect you aimed to achieve or the result of the software you have used. |
