The pale pink of the main flower against the blue/green leaves is very attractive, the colours are lovely, but I find the blurred leaf in the foreground on the left a little distracting. Otherwise I cannot add to the comments made by other members of the group. |

Yes this one does have similar characteristics to yours hence I did face the same problems. In fact it was seeing your image that inspired me to have a go at processing this image and to put it in this month. |

I always admire how sharp and crisp your images are and this one is no exception. I do however feel that there is a little too much going on in the image. For me it's strength lies in the curve of the pool which leads the eye to the statue in the pool and the building behind it so I might have been inclined to leave everything to the left of the pool out. Having said this I think there is also a separate image on the left. |

I find this image very appealing. I like the way the tree frames the vinyard and the contrast between the straight lines of the vines and the open hillside beyond. In darkening the foreground you have improved the image by emphasising the vines. I also like the shadow of the tree in the foreground. My only suggestion would be to clone out the wires in the sky which I noticed straight away. |

This is another wonderful travel image. I too find the way that the noodles hang, together with the pattern that their shadows make, very appealing. I wonder how much longer these traditional methods will be used? Cropping a little off the top might add emphasis to the figure and the shadows but it would perhaps take something away from the story so I am not sure that it would improve the image. Maybe worth a try? |

Thanks Stuart, I appreciate your comments. I did initially convert the whole image but I wasn't really satisfied with the result. This is an image that I've really struggled with. I attach my original conversion and would be interested in your thoughts. |
