Thanks Stuart. It is reassuring to know that I am not the only one whose preference is for black and white. |

Thanks for your kind words Sharon. This chapel stands on a slight rise which is why the land appears to drop away behind it. I've not entered it into any competitions so unfortunately I have no feedback to share. I did wonder when processing it whether to remove the jet trails so it is helpful to have these suggestions. I'd be interested to see your lighthouse image. |

This is a beautiful image. I think by keeping it very simple you have made a strong composition. Your method of processing has also worked well as it places the emphasis on the tree just as you intended. There is also a wonderful feeling of space in the image, enhanced by the sky. Lovely. |

I like the idea of this and the textures in the leaves are lovely but I do find that the dark shadows rather spoil this image. I think it is well worth pursuing this idea but with some pruning maybe to achieve a simpler arrangement of leaves to eliminate the shadows. |

Unfortunately I find my eye being drawn out of the picture by the buildings and fence on the right of this image. It makes me curious about what it was on the right that made you decide to cut off the picture at your chosen point. The farm buildings seem interesting in themselves and I wonder whether a close up of them, albeit that this would mean eliminating some of the beautiful landscape in the background, would have produced a more satisfactory image. |

This is a lovely scene but I do find it a little busy with the reflections. Does anyone ever take a boat out on this lake? If so I wondered whether this would provide a focal point? I do like the colours and range of tones you have achieved and am tempted to experiment with this software myself. I agree with Helen and Debbie regarding cropping the image. |

I like the simplicity of this image and the way your processing has brought out all the detail in the stone steps and cross. I also like the detail in the sky. A very pleasing scene. Is CLiR software specifically designed for infra red photography? I've not heard of it. |

This is a great travel image especially given the difficulties you describe in taking it. Personally I think this is pretty perfect shot that would do well in both travel and open competitions. Maybe I would take a very small bit off the top but otherwise I cannot think of any way of improving it. |
