What a lovely sky. I personally feel that the picture here is just the sky and the bird flying through it. I would therefore crop out the foliage in the foreground and the tree on the left just leaving the bank the other side of the water and the sky. I do feel that sometimes less is more and that the image would be stronger if it were simplified. |

I like the way the ripples in the water lead my eye to the bungalows and also to the brightest, and most interesting part of the image. I also like the letterbox shape but I do wonder whether you could crop a little off the left to remove the birds/ducks on the water which are a little distracting. |

This is a lovely scene but I wonder if you need all the sky, or indeed any sky at all? I would be inclined to crop the image below the branch that protrudes from the left hand side which I find rather distracting. I think simplifying the image in this way would strengthen it. I would also remove the dark shadow from the right side of the path and the intrusive elements in the lower right hand corner. I think the figures add to the image and are an important element in it. |

While this is a lovely scene I find my eye is being drawn out of the photograph by all the horizontal lines. I don't think you could do much about the fences, and they are anyway an important part of the composition, but I wonder if you could clone out some of the clouds that are going out of the picture? I would also suggest that you darken or lighten the trees in the foreground so that they stand out more from the background. |

It's always interesting, and inspiring, to see subject matter that differs from the normal IR images. This works well as it brings out all the detail in the petals. Personally I prefer to see flowers on a lighter background as the black background tends to dominate and I find that this distracts from the delicacy of the flower, but this is only a personal preference. |
