35 Jun 18 Comment It looks as if there is an settlement in the background which I would like to have seen more of as this may have made an interesting subject for your image. I appreciate that the Navaho families may not have permitted this. As it is I feel that your main subject does not make a very strong foreground but it is difficult to find suitable subjects in the desert for IR as there is very little vegetation to provide contrast. 35 Jun 18 Comment Another interesting image from your trip to Thailand. I would have liked to see a little more contrast as the colour of the statue and foliage are very similar but I am not sure whether you would be able to achieve this with this subject matter. There is also another building/statue/railing intruding in to the picture on the left hand side of the image beyond the grass which could be cloned out. Jun 13th
35 Jun 18 Comment This is a lovely scene but I feel your image lacks a focal point. There. Is a small building on the left and I think if this occupied a more dominant position in your image it would serve as a focal point. You could crop the left hand side to achieve this. For me the shade of blue is a little too deep but this is purely a personal preference. Jun 13th
35 Jun 18 Comment I like the simplicity of this image. The boats and their reflections make a very pleasing image. At first sight I felt it was a shame that there wasn't more interest in the sky but then I looked again and decided that the plain sky compliments the boats rather than competing with them. Removing the distracting dock from the bottom right definitely improved the image. The only suggestion I can make to improve the image is to crop out some of the empty space to the right and top of the image to make the boats more dominant but I think this is purely a matter of personal taste. 35 Jun 18 Comment Another striking and perfectly processed image from you Sharon. I like the contrast between the geometric and regular shapes of the gravestones and the foliage of the trees. I think as an image this works very well however you ask whether you have conveyed the solemnity of the scene adequately and I wonder whether by placing more emphasis on the gravestones you would have better fulfilled this brief. I would suggest cropping out the sky. Alternatively taking the gravestones from a lower angle might have worked. Having said this I like the image just as it is. Jun 11th
35 Jun 18 Comment This is a striking image Helen. The bridge provides a strong lead in line to the hut. The wall and line of trees also lead the eye to the hut from the right hand side of the image. The slight break in the clouds above the hut also adds interest. This is a famous beauty spot in the Lake District but I have neve seen it from this angle so it is also a very original image. I cannot think of any way to improve it. Altogether a lovely piece of work. Jun 11th
