Thank you Helen. I think if I'd used my IR camera I might have been able to achieve more contrast in the sky which I would have liked but my current IR camera would probably not have achieved images of quite the same quality. It is probably time to invest in a new IR camera but I am waiting for Alan to upgrade his 5D so I can have his old one converted! |

Wow! This is a very striking image. An excellent composition which, as Helen says, is enhanced by the figures. While my preference is generally for monochrome IR images your work is certainly opening my eyes to the potential of colour. Altogether a lovely image. |

Back to my childhood again during which I was a frequent visitor to these gardens. This is a lovely composition. As Henry says the small river (in fact the Bourne)provides a perfect lead in line and the building to the right of it provides a focal point. The figures in the distance also add to the scene. I agree with Henry about cropping the right hand side but I would also crop the left hand side to eliminate the modern building in the background. This would place more emphasis on the attractive building to the right of the river. |

For me there is a little too much foliage in this image and not enough contrast in the tones or textures. I would have liked to see the small building a little more dominant in the frame as this would have provided a strong focal point. I appreciate that it may not have been possible to achieve this. There is however a lot of interest to keep the viewer engaged in this image and it does have a lovely serene quality. Your photograph certainly makes me feel that it is a place I would like to visit. |

I like your composition particularly the way the building is framed by the trees on either side and the contrast between the two. A very pleasing composition. I am not sure about the colour of the sky, as Helen suggests it may be improved by lightening or de-saturating. Otherwise a lovely image. |

As Helen says, cemetaries make great subjects for IR. I'm not sure though about the composition of this one. I find the image a little unbalanced because of the dominant building on the left hand side. Having said this I would like to see more of this building, perhaps using it as a frame for the gravestones. Obviously I wasn't there so I don't know if this would have been possible. |

I really like this image. To me it doesn't look like IR, more like a winter scene with snow or heavy frost. Perhaps this is because of the subtle colours you have achieved. It is pin sharp which adds to its appeal. Altogether a beautiful image.
