Thank you all for your suggestions regarding the fence. Unfortunately I could not find a position where I could eliminate it but I will have a go at either cropping or cloning it out, or a combination of both. |

I'm not sure about this image. For me it lacks a focal point, I think it maybe needs a figure or some other point of interest on the path or alternatively on the wall. Having said this I do find the texture of the path interesting and I like the contrast between it and the softer texture of the bamboo. |

I love the old mills and warehouses that line the waterways of the 19th century industrial areas of our cities, many of which have now been converted to up market apartments. I find them a fascinating subject, perfect for IR. The inclusion of the boat in your image gives scale to the buildings. The only improvement I would suggest is to clone out the small area of foliage that intrudes on the left hand side of the canal. |

I find the shadows in the foreground very appealing and they provide a perfect lead in to the church but I agree with Helen that the image, especially the building, is a little light. I like the angle you have chosen to take the image from as it allows the branches to provide a perfect frame for the spire. A lovely image that is well worth working on. |

This is a lovely image of Fountains Abbey. As well as the detail in the building I particularly like the cloud that fills the otherwise empty area of sky to the right hand side of the image. That said I think I prefer the original foreground containing more ruins, as these provide a lead in to the main building, rather than your cropped version. |

I've only been lucky enough to visit Monument Valley once when I was overwhelmed by the stunning scenery. You are so fortunate in the US to have such a range of amazing landscapes. I too feel that this image would benefit from more contrast and I wonder whether a portrait format would have placed more emphasis on the spire and the interesting rock formation in the background. |

As Helen says this is a lovely church and I like the way you have left some colour in this image. I too noticed the halo around the church tower. In addition I find the lean on the tree to the left of the church a little odd. Was it really leaning at this angle or is this just the result of using a wide angle lens. In any event would it be possible to straighten it? Otherwise a lovely image. |

Hi Helen, thanks for your kind remarks. Unfortunately we couldn't gain access to this property as there was a fence surrounding it and the gate was securely padlocked. |
