When I first saw this photo I thought the overall lighting was a bit harsh... Was it really that tones of yellow? I, too would crop a bit more off the top and left side which would make the house more prominent... |

Great detail in the feathers and head. The black back doesn't bother me, as the focus is on the wings and head. Love the blurred background. I might consider adding a light grey border to further separate the bird from the background. |

While I was on a 3-week photo trip to India in 2003, this particular site was not on our list. Such a shame as I love this type of architecture.... Yes, the center post are just a tad crooked... when straightening them is so easy.... |

Good cropping of a subject that we don't see here in the states. I agree with the comments about the pipe...It's the little things sometimes that draw our attention. |

I love this rendition of an elderly person catching a few ZZZZZ's. One thing bothers me a bit, and that is the really white sleeve on the left and her white blouse. White is almost impossible to darken as it is, but it is a bit distracting.. |

Very interesting image. Although I don't know how to "blend" photos your result was good. The only thing that bothers me a little is the "mismatch" of the angles at the very top center. |

The Merced Wildlife refuge is absolutely amazing with thousands of migrating birds there for several months... Should you ever come to CA. try to do it when they are here the most, which is generally Dec. to the first of March. It is located 45 minutes from Madera, which is just northeast of Fresno. |

Sorry, but this was taken with a Panasonic point and shoot camera on automatic, so I have no idea what the shutter speed was at the time I took it. |

Nicely done. I would suggest that you try to darken the one bright petal in the background as it is a bit distracting. I also wished that the one red petal on the right would have been a bit sharper, as it appears to be out of focus... |

Again, I would have preferred that the flower be on a slight angle, other than straight up and down...Nice and sharp. I love the colored version better, but it is also very nice in the black and white version... |

I, too, have to agree with the comments in which they preferred the original #2 photo...In this case there is nothing to stop one's eyes, as all of the white flowers blend together...with the exception of the 2 green leaves in the lower left. Perhaps you could have pulled the one green leaf in the upper right out and that would have made an uneven number of the green leaves. |

You really lost me with all of the technical info...as I don't have my SLR cameras anymore, and have to shoot everything with a Panasonic SZ100 point and shoot camera...which I love... That being said, I think the flower would be better if it was on a slight angle rather than straight up and down... Also, I would have preferred a different background color, perhaps even a black which would really make this one POP... |

Really like this one. However, I agree that the 3 petals on the left are distracting due to their stark whites... I don't know if you can darken them any without showing it...as pure whites are very hard to darken... |

I have to agree with the other comments. I love the way the back petals really look like they are "on fire"... sharp as a tack too.... great job. |
