Interesting image to say the least. I have to agree with Fred about the overly bright areas. Perhaps you could clone in about half of it with the dark part and have only a sliver of the white showing at the lower bottom. I do like the lower part of her face which is meant to be the focus... |

In this image I find the "mirror" effect just doesn't work for me as it is too similar....which it would be when this effect is done on something...I am undecided as to whether the purple color works for it or not....Mirror images can really be impressive, while others not quite so....However, that being said, I do think the purple adds to the mystery of the trees in this scene...even if they aren't a natural color. |

I really can't add anything new to the comments...My only comment would be to darken all around the edges just a tad so as to separate it from the edge....good job in removing the horn and the people in the background, which wasn't an easy job to do.... |

Yes, this image is well done and captivating...However, if it were mine, I would consider adding a small white border since the background is a solid black...Image is sharp as a tack too. |

All said and done, I really like the entire feeling of the image....Yes, it would have been better to have had the model's feet showing, but the overall effect is still captivating....good job. I have never mastered the art of composing 2 images together except when I layer one on top and then erase parts of the image, as I do with some of my shoe images.... |

Unfortunately, none of the geese ever faced me, so, I had to take them as they were or loose the opportunity... I didn't see the back goose's head "thru the sunset", but I will clean it up some more... |

I just use the standard borders in Elements 2021....they are created after I resize the image and consider it "finished"..I find the borders under IMAGE>CANVAS>then follow the steps to get the border size...my first one is 15 pixels, and the outer red one is 30 pixels, then the image must be resized back to 1400 x 1050 or whatever size, if it has been cropped. not to exceed these sizes... Again, I really like borders, but know that not everyone does....I generally use a white inner border and choose a color that compliments the scene for the outer one. You can also see my other images in group 20, which is creative... |

In your original image the bird's head is lost, as well as in the reflection. Also, I would crop most of the right side out which doesn't really add to the scene....I prefer the one with his full head upright so that one can see his bill, etc. I know birds don't always stay in the perfect position long enough for us to get all of the details in their heads, but the possibility of this might have happened in a few minutes later, which is why I prefer the second image... Bands are allowed in Nature, so if you removed the band it could not be entered in a Nature competition... |

At first, I didn't know what the dark "streaks" were, until Bob said they were out of focus tree limbs...Your format is almost a square one whereas the bird is a vertical format. Very nice and sharp...Lightening the chest is a good idea too, especially in the bird's lower part. |

There is a very bright "halo" of azure blue just above the green trees on the left side that really bothers me...If it were mine, I might consider cropping the sky down to just below the sliver of a moon and make it a panoramic scene...I also think all of the far mountains need to be a bit darker too. |

Yes, they don't always stay in the right position for one to get that "great" shot....too bad you didn't wait a few minutes for him to take a step forward so that all of his body was in the photo, or pulled back to get all of him....I think Bob did a great job removing the second animal, making the main animal more dominant...Love the rim "lighting" of the snow on his back and head.... |

I really like this rendition of the driftwood, but, the merger of the two branches on the upper right with the clouds really bother me...I don't know if you could have gotten down lower, or maybe cloned out the tiny section of the cloud that touches those branches...great detail and sharpness really adds to this scene... |

When I first saw this I envisioned a pair of yellow chairs that are found in some carnival rides.... My only comment would be to darken the bright blue above the "monkey's head" just a bit as it draws my eye away from the rest of the items....I love the wavy look of the entire image.... |

Yes, I really liked the seasonal atmosphere with the 2 people wearing red jackets.....as well as the lone woman at the left edge of the street... Your vertical rendition is a good composition also, with a very precise roof tower....As far as the borders I do them after everything else is done to the scene...I know a lot of judges don't like borders, but I do, and that is all that matters...I think they "finish" a scene, especially when the backgrounds are dark... |
