20 Nov 20 Comment Of the two images you shown, I might prefer the one with the girl, but I think I would remove her entirely, were it my image. The expression on his face tells us a very strong story, without the partial body of the girl...l like the painterly effect. Nov 20th
20 Nov 20 Comment Good use of a natural thing....lots of fun things can be done with just such simple objects....Love your idea, and will look for some to do on my own....I, too, would have liked to have had the teeth a bit whiter, but that's a minute idea. Nov 20th
20 Nov 20 Comment Very well done...however, the shadow behind the "fallen heart" bothers me a bit...I would like to see it a bit higher from the base...perhaps to almost the top of the shadow. This image is well thought out and executed, but could stand some more work....Were it mine I think that I would have placed the leaf at more of an angle rather than straight up. Nov 20th
20 Nov 20 Comment Having been to Death Valley several times, I really like this composition...While I have not yet, done any color manipulations on any of the formations myself, I really like what you have done here.... Nov 20th

23 Nov 20 Comment I worked at our local food bank for almost 14 years until my health prevented me from doing all that lifting and bending. I was fortunate to also work for their SNAPP (Senior Nutrition and Produce Program) for all of those years too. This gave me the opportunity to see and take photos of many veggies and fruits that were distorted, blemished, etc. I have over 300+ photos that were put into photo shop and done for set ups. I also have put the best ones into 2 photo books to be given away as gifts someday. Several have been shown in the past in this group. Nov 22nd
23 Nov 20 Comment I rarely shoot such subjects straight on, but find that shooting them at a slight angle is better..perhaps a 3/4 view....This would eliminate the distracting (to me) cars shown in the windshield of the old car...I don't think the girl adds to the story... Nov 20th
23 Nov 20 Comment very well done..if it were mine, I might try lightening some of the lower left green bushes...not much, just a tad... Nov 20th
23 Nov 20 Comment One of my comments is regarding "Border Patrol". Many of the old timers in PSA will remember Fran Cox's comments about this...So, when I see an image I do a quick look all around the borders to see if there are any items that need to be removed...hense, the partial cactus on the right border...it needs to go!! Now, for the rest of the image...great color in the yellow bushes which are placed off center...also, having the old, dead limbs on the left really help to tell a story. I might have liked to have seen a bit more sky at the top, but there is just enough to add to the image...well done... Nov 20th
23 Nov 20 Comment Getting good portraits of horses isn't always that easy. You did a great job by getting him to turn and see what the "noise" was...a minor thing...clone out the one hair that is sticking straight up on his mane. Great detail on his mane and face....Also, welcome to our group.... Nov 20th
23 Nov 20 Comment Nicely done...doing it in a "blank" (hee hee) and white was a very good choice. Having several other paintings on the right side of the scene help to tell the story of where it was taken.... Nov 20th
23 Nov 20 Comment These types of images are some of my very favorite ones to shoot....old cars, rust, details, etc. However, if this one were mine I might consider cropping all of the left side off and concentrating on the very old rusty light and handle, which to me are the main subjects, making this a vertical rather than a horizontal...good seeing....the shadows help add depth also... 23 Nov 20 Reply OK. will send this image to you to play with...my email is luvscolor2@att.net...Also, I still use Elements 10 for my photo shop work. Nov 13th
23 Nov 20 Reply I did tone down the white strips, but, white is very hard to darken.... Nov 11th
