Note from Shirley's mushrooms in group 23...I cropped off the borders, and extended the top. Then I cloned some background color across the top and redid the borders....This gave some more space at the top, which I should have done before submitting the image...Check it out now.....much better, huh!!
BTW. I love your anemones...great color and the background is perfect....good job....flowers being my favorite subjects... |

Yes, I was told many years ago, that folds in the cloths used in setups add depth and dimension to the scene...whether it be a black, white or in between color... |

Interesting composition of the carrots and old building. Just one more way of doing something different.. |

Well done...I would never have known what the colors were had you not told us...These creative techniques can be quite interesting when there is a lot of color...I have done a lot of the "circles" and might put one in next month... |

Title says 2 roses, but, I see 3 roses!!! Anyway, your final result is another very creative image with the background behind the roses....well done.. |

This is one of your best "portraits" of your beloved cat that I have seen....very well done...I love the subtle blending of his chest fur into the background colors...not easy to do either. |

All I can say is that it was well thought out and then all the items placed to their best advantage...good idea...not something that I would try to do, but it works for you... |

Very interesting colors in the sand, which almost match the colors in the little girl's dress...She is well placed in the scene, looking out to sea. Nice pastel image. |

Great capture of the planes in formation, which isn't easy to do...You might try extending the border on the right side and then cloning in a bit more blue sky to give space on the right side. |

I don't remember why I cut the top so close to the rim, but, there must have been a reason, as I always try to give some breathing room....that is my only fault with this image...I might try cloning some more color at the top to give it a bit more space... |

Since I had to switch from my beloved Nikon D200 equipment to a point and shoot camera about 8 years ago, I don't have capability of all of the F stops, etc. that my SLR had....consequently what I get is what I get and any corrections to exposure, etc. must be made in my photo shop program...However, the Panasonic Lumix SZ40 is a fantastic automatic camera and I love it.... |

Sometimes things have a way of turning out for the best, as is shown by a very colorful sunset against the buildings. Having the water sprinklers in the foreground gave it more interest. Only wish the clouds had been lower in the sky... |

Very well done. crisp and clean....Having done several outdoor weddings myself, I can appreciate the effort on the couple to have their portraits taken in this beautiful setting... |

While I appreciate your technique, the white model seems to me to be out of place...and she needs more detail...Also the dark tree trunk (?) on the right side is a distraction to me....I wish you luck in the Salons, but, I doubt that it would do well here in the US...I could be wrong, but that's my opinion as a Salon judge for many years here in the US. |

While your monochrome image is interesting I still prefer the one with some color (original #2)..If this were mine I would take it one stop more and paste the monochrome on top of the original #2 and then erase only the 3 gas pumps...very easy to do...but you have to remember to MERGE the image before saving it...one other thing is that both images MUST be the same size to do this...I do these images all the time, mostly with my women's shoe images. |

While I didn't give a lot of technical info, one can easily see that it is a very simple composition...I only know that this image was taken with a simple point and shoot camera...so F stops, etc. are not recorded..Either you like it or you don't. |
