I fail to see any creative effect on the rose, which is absolutely beautiful as it is....I agree that the frame doesn't fit the subject...and, get rid of the distracting leaf part at the bottom of the photo...beautiful color and sharp detail...Also, I would clone out the bright spot on the left side of the blossom... |

One of my very favorite techniques...saturation....Love the colors....See my entry of "DISKS" this week in the 365 Challenge....I used saturation to enhance the disks...I have to agree with Pat that it should be cropped to take the latch out of dead center....maybe to just below the green "leaves"... |

Good idea but, it falls flat on composition with me...One of the most annoying thing in photos is cutting someone's feet off, which was done in the original photo...I agree that she just doesn't seem to fit with the background...Perhaps if you had moved her, after reducing her size, to have her feet hidden behind some shrubbery it might look more realistic...Also, having her look out of the photo is not the best composition..
She looks pasted onto the background instead of part of it... |

Very different effect. Love it....I would like to see the base of the fountain darkened a bit more to eliminate the distraction in the lower right.... |

There was no political intent due to the very funny currency... just an opportunity to have a bit of fun!!! I could have substituted real gold coins, but, they are stored in a bank's safe deposit box. |

When one takes a subject at "high noon" it lacks a feeling of depth. when the subject is so flat ..However, one has to do what one has to do...Getting the clouds in the scene saved the day for you... |

If it were mine I think I would crop a bit off the bottom to take the "horizon line" of the wall out of dead center.... Interesting subject, but not one of great interest to me.. |

Since I am not a bird expert, although I certainly would like to be, I can't make any comment on the difference in the color of the breast on the right...Also, the difference in their eye colors...is it because they are different ages, male or female, or what....Good sharp nature photo, and love the composition. |

Very nice portrait. Do you recall what topaz technique you used on this photo, so that his face is not covered by the rest of the textured effect? Or, did you erase the topaz effect on his face and hands? |
