Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
20 May 19 Reply The only way I can get the foreground heel to show is to cut the roses apart and only use one of the small ones...might try this arrangement again, as I still have the heels and driftwood... May 12th
20 May 19 Comment I'm not sure about the ostrich being in the scene...Why was it put there? It does need some shadowing under it to make it believable, otherwise it just looks pasted onto the scene...love the effect of the penciled treatment on the structure and background.. May 12th
20 May 19 Comment Another well done image of an ordinary subject. If you go to the PSA web page and click on the 365 Challenge you will see many dandelions submitted as the assignment for June 17...I will have a similar one with part of the white "things" gone and the background very blurred in photo shop..It will be very interesting to see what the other members submit for dandelion... May 12th
20 May 19 Comment I'm undecided about the grass "treatment"...but, it is very effective as a painting....love the background change from a natural green to the brown...again, well done.... May 12th
20 May 19 Comment I agree with Betty that the cracking in the background is a bit strong...and the dark side of the horse does need to be a bit lighter...Otherwise, it is a very interesting image, and well done... May 12th
20 May 19 Comment This is a very difficult arrangement/lighting subject, but you made a much better image thru photo shop. I agree with those who said it needs a very narrow border to keep it from floating...well done.... May 12th
20 May 19 Comment Welcome to our group. I'm torn between cropping the tree out too...As far as the building and smoke I feel it keeps me bouncing back and forth between the building and the woman...so, to me it's a distraction...love the colors and painterly effect overall.... May 3rd
20 May 19 Comment Since the roses are wired together it makes it difficult to arrange them sometimes...Still, I could cut them apart and try that....as far as the position of the back shoe this piece of driftwood makes it almost impossible to place the shoe in a forward position....so, what you see is what you get.... 23 May 19 Reply If you could see the original you would see a big difference in their faces, as I did lighten all the faces, especially the brides....but thanks anyway for your comments. It was very hard shooting against the sun that day, and other angles were better, but didn't show their faces as well. May 16th
23 May 19 Comment Beautiful image of the spoonbill. Having his bill touching the water is a bonus..great reflection color and composition. I might have wanted the entire bird in the reflection, but your position might not have been to allow this... May 13th
23 May 19 Comment Very interesting scene with many different colored boats and sizes of boats...too bad the lighting was so bright, which hurts this scene...Can it be darkened in photo shop to bring out the rich colors on the boats and water. May 13th
23 May 19 Comment Nice composition of the figures...However, the overall darkness of the water and sky just don't seen to go with the color of her dress....Also, there is no detail in the foreground....good try, but lacks a real punch due to the lack of color, even if it is a silhouette.... May 13th
23 May 19 Comment Sorry, but I'm not seeing what you are saying is there. otherwise the subject is interesting with the colors and shapes. Too bad there are so many specular highlights on the plastic, which would be very hard to remove.. May 13th
23 May 19 Comment One of the most beautiful crane photos I have ever seen...the evening light makes this photo very special...Congratulations on being able to stay and shoot them and then getting a winning photo.... May 13th
23 May 19 Comment Yes, the wedding was very unusual to say the least...Also, this view did not show a blue sky as did some photos I took from another angle. The bride and groom were very "country" which is why the men were all dressed in black jeans and shirts....All of the bridesmaids wore purple boots, which aren't showing, but look at what the 2 little flower girls have on....I did the best I could with the colors in photo shop, but would have liked to have had the blue sky in this one...not to be....
