20 Jan 18 Comment I have a tendency to think a pale sepia tone would really add to the nostalgia of the scene...Also, agree with Nellie in that the father's image should be a bit larger than the son's image...great composition of all 3 elements..people and landscape... Jan 30th
20 Jan 18 Comment Yup, that blue strip has to go!!!! Only kidding, but it is a minor distraction...very simple to remove, either by cropping or cloning the area...Love the intensified colors on the boat and water....with the added yellow on the boat it really brings it to life....good job.... 20 Jan 18 Comment Love the effect you accomplished with the Distort filter... It is a toss up as to which one I like the best, but will go with the single flower....as I feel it's more artistic. With the 2 flowers my eye keeps bouncing back and forth between the 2, looking for something to settle on... Jan 30th
20 Jan 18 Comment One of your very best of Tinker and his masks....I love the simplicity of the image, and the extruded effect really sets him off...I really must try this, but I don't have any full face photos of either one of my cats...they prefer to lie around upside down...:) :) :) Jan 30th
20 Jan 18 Comment I have to agree with others on the frame...I think the textured frame doesn't really go with the mud pots, and color of them...Try using a straight frame and see what the effect is....Not sure I like the "color" of the mud, but I do like the composition...not easy to do either.. 20 Jan 18 Comment Welcome to our group....I have to agree with several about the background being too bland or neutral...I would like to see a bit more texture in it, but not enough to overshadow the birds....maybe a touch of vingeting (sp)would help bring our eyes to the birds and not so much on the background color...Love the way you have used only one bird in so many positions.. something I have not been able to do. Jan 30th
20 Jan 18 Reply To me the spots of blue accented the yellows of the squash, but, I do see your points of view...I am starting to use a softer color instead of the white inner border, on most of my photos now...as you will probably see next month with a new image...Live and Learn, as the saying goes...our tastes change over time... 23 Jan 18 Comment Great image...but, I feel it would be better to crop some of the sky out to just above the dark cloud on the right, and make it a "slim Jim"...Love the detail in the building.. Jan 30th
23 Jan 18 Comment Like what was done to lighten the scene...however, by putting a vignette on the scene it could not be entered in any Nature competition..only color...and it would do well in color. Jan 30th
23 Jan 18 Comment What a fun photo...great that you were able to capture them in such attire, with an "attitude". Crisp and clean..well done... Jan 30th
23 Jan 18 Comment Great story telling sequence....excellent compositions of the dancers, etc. as well as lighting...I was unable to photograph the small group when I was in Vienna, as they said NO PHOTOS....so had to settle with just their chairs, and musical instruments during a break.... Jan 30th
23 Jan 18 Comment I like this image very much...but, I would have cropped just a bit more off the right side, taking it out of dead center...Excellent motion showing below the piece of pottery...great detail in the hands... Jan 30th
23 Jan 18 Comment I, too, dislike tattoos very much, but the combination of images works well...had I been there I would have only taken parts of the rusty machinery...so many details in it... Jan 30th

23 Jan 18 Reply It was all I could do to get all of these girls at once....given the fact that they were moving quite fast...I would have liked to not have had the shadow of one girls hands on her face, but that was what it was.... Jan 29th
23 Jan 18 Comment Yes, photography was difficult at times, as I tried to avoid the street lamp and palm tree shadows on the street..... I had seats up at the very top of some bleachers, but the view wasn't what I wanted.....However, I was able to secure an empty chair next to a very nice young man, at curbside of the street...Hence, I was able to get these remarkable shots of the bands, and some of the floats going by...but, some were so big and long that I was unable to get the entire float in one photo...oh, well...
