I like your idea, but I find a few distracting items in the image. First one is the out of focus strings of denim, so I get rid of those. Since your main subject is the coins, I darkened everything around the coins making them stand out more. With the light tones of the denim, you did not really have your eye going to the coins. I then crop off the right side and a little from the bottom, that being the most out of focus part of the image. Just another way to go with the images. It definitely is an interesting shot. |

I like the texture in the image and all of the great detail in the barn and the horse. My only very little complaint would be the window opening, the right side and top are off and my eye goes to it wanting to straighten it. I just used transformed and straightened that side and the top a little bit. I do like how the window frames the horse and the position of the horses head. I think it was the perfect image for going Monochrome with. Nice shot. |

I think you did a good job of converting to monochrome. I would lighten where the mat used to be just a bit. I used the adjustment brush in Camera Raw and lightened the area, it does look a little better, otherwise, I would not change a thing. |

I actually like the original image better. I don't believe in flipping PJ images, it does not tell the true story. I guess it comes from my being a newspaper photographer in the beginning. Otherwise, I like the treatment you gave the mono image, I just would not flip it. |

I like your monochrome version, it gets rid of the distractions. You could try using the Clarity to get the image just a little sharper, I also darkened the background as well. You could also go the other way with clarity and soften the whole image as well. |

Bruce, I dropped in to see what was happening in the sports section. I like your shot, but the ref is a little distracting to me, I would crop him out and I darkened his arm, or you could clone it out. This keeps your attention on the players and the ball. This is a good action shot. |

Joseph, dropped in to see what was happening in the sports section, I like your shot, it might help have more of the face, but I think you have a really nice blur and the rock is so nice and sharp, the crop does not bother me. The image does a nice job of portraying action. |
