I think this is a beautiful and memorable entry into the sunset-at-the-ocean category. The colors are gorgeous and nicely shade down to the match the luminosity of the figures silhouetted on the beach. I'd have included just a little more of that area at the bottom so that it isn't squished, as it looks to me, by the spectacular goings-on above. |

Seems to be a difficult photograph to make: How to handle the background? Softening, even it's done digitally, seems right, even more than afforded by f5.6. Also, I see why you framed or cropped where you did, but the runner cut off at upper torso and at the other cut off at the nose distract my eyes from your main subjects. Not sure what to suggest, except, unhelpfully now, to have backed off even farther from the runners so that you could focus on the two girls but preserve the wholes of the two runners just behind them. |

I agree with Neal: less flower.
I suppose the problem with photographing birds in flight is to decide whether or not to freeze the wing motion. In this image, because the bird wings are so central and the body is in profile, I'd have tried to freeze motion, though I grant that's a tall order when you were already at 1/1000 sec. |

A fine, endearing moment. I agree with Sol and Neal's comments. |

Good cleaning job ! A perfect composition of foreground through background. There's a cloudy whitish spot partially obscuring the pack of the middle climber, perhaps a melting snowflake on the lens? |

The image strange, riveting combination of the real and .... something else. Fascinating and disturbing. |
