Wonderful image and the story is told beautifully in the simplicity of the high key processing. Perfect the way it is. Why change anything? |

Cute bird. I am finding it a bit soft through the body but good detail on the head. The color version works because it gives some depth to the image. For me, the B&W version makes the foot look like it is a model on a stick. |

WOW!!! Can you image "here, Kitty, Kitty" and this beautiful creature showed up!
My suggestion would be to darken the eyes just a bit. They look a little over cooked to me. I might also run it through Denoise if you have it or a denoise software.
It is wonderful image and these are only suggestions. |

I love what you have done here. one suggestion would be to crop it on the left a bit to get the fence post off center more. For me, the softness of the image is disrupted by the strong post , it stops me from entering into the frame. It's a great image. Great job. |

This is a lovely image as it tells a a story. You might consider cropping down from the top since the sky holds very little interest and doesn't add too much to the image. Also consider opening the shadows on the right and bring up the exposure a tad. Nice job. |

What a joyful image! Love the color, and the expressions on the faces. wouldn't change a thing. ( I would try next time a slower shutter speed.) |

Thank you for your comments. I think the image I downloaded was the proof copy. When I print I always lighten it just a tad which is why the whites appear to be blown out. I have this handing in my house and the whites are not blown out. As far as straightening the horizon, I shot the image intensively at an angle to accent the curvature of the waves.
I (intentional) C ( Camera }M (Movement) is a technique used to show blur. You set your camera at a low shutter speed and with a very small movements, move the camera up, down, around, in out. It takes practice and the right subject. Next time you go out to shoot, give a try. |
