Hi Mark,
Absolutely, always trying to improve. When we look at our own images,
We don't always see the obvious flaws. Your comments are always right on and I certainly appreciate them. This journey of photography, I love and never stop learning. I enjoy looking at other's images. What I see, sometimes, is entirely different from the photographers vision. I find these discussions very helpful. |

Hi Mark,
I have been a wreck after reading your comments. Reason; A client came by to look at flowers images and I had this on the screen preparing to send it in . He saw this and ordered a 40 x 20 canvas. I usually print my own images, however, because I don't have the space any longer to store canvas and stretchers, I send it out to a gal I work with and she prints them for me. (She usually calls me if there us a problem.) I hadn't heard from her and the finished imaged arrived yesterday. (My image shows a lot if yellow and pink in the sky and I don't know why it looks so blown out.
This is a phone image of the finished image. It is wrapped in plastic and getting a reflection. There is a lot of pastel in the sky and is not blown out .Phew!

Great image! I think it lends itself to B&W. |

Fun image! Is the offset intentional? If so, in my opinion it doesn't add anything for the image. Very creative. Good job. |

The eyes have it! You captured a great expression and the back lighting is wonderful. Two things bother me, the color seems a bit off and the busy background. Perhaps you would consider adjusting the WB, to me it looks very yellow. The background could be handled in numerous ways; adding a texture, bringing down the clarity, using a blur, blending with different brushes and adding a new background. I think the image is worth the extra mile. Nice job! |

Very pretty and the color is wonderful. In my opinion, you don't need the lower bud.
(Actually, the lower bud could be an image all by itself.) This could be cropped just below the v which is just above the bud. What I see then is a small web and the flower. Also, I would bring down the glare on the flower just a tad.

What an interesting butterfly. I don't think the green leaf in the middle or the other leaves on the right help the image. Perhaps you might consider cropping so you just have a butterfly on a leaf. Also, I would be inclined to clean up the leaf. However, for a Nature Photograph in PSA that would not be allowed. So, it depends what your intentions are for this image. |

This is two or three images. The water scene with the sunset , the beach, and the roadway. You were attracted to this by the sunset and I think the water and sunset would have made a lovely image all by itself. Hopefully, you did make one. The beach is interesting with the drama of the lights and shadows. Also, as a story telling image that the highway is so close! Which you captured well with the lights with the slow shutter speed.
