It takes a bit of practice, but try panning. |

This is a wonderful image of a barrel racer, and I would have liked to have seen the background blurred to give a sense of motion. The rider is sharp and typical facial expression. |

I agree Mark, the sand and shadows are all part of the story. Lovely image. |

How about putting the bird in the circle? |

What a pretty bird. The bird certainly blends in with the surroundings which is what god intended. I like the fact that the bird has some room to look into and wouldn't crop it as much as Linda just a bit on the left side. Perhaps you could try bringing down the clarity and saturation with the adjustment tool in LR, only a thought to play around with to see if you could get more separation between the bird and the background.

Fun image, I agree, pretty sharp for hand held at 1/17 sec. |

Hi HArley,
Yes I like the trees , as I said to Linda, it has the effect of a Catherdal. I thought about cleaning it up and perhaps might do some. Stay tuned! |

Linda,
I did do one with that crop and I decided I liked the Cathedral effect of the trees. |
