HI Linda,
There were leaves coming out to the left and I didn't put any light on them, so what you are seeing is a faint shadow. |

As I look at this image, I see about three other images. It is very confusing and I don't no where to settle. There are some very interesting lines. One image would be the right side, then the middle and finally a bit of the middle over to the left. I agree that the blacks could be opened up. The upper portion which is the sky I think, doesn't help this image at all. The black and white application is good and as Linda stated it looks like a pencil sketch. |

This is a lovely image because of the composition. For me, it is a bit over saturated and I would like to see the colors more subdued as they would be in nature. Not much but just a bit because the colors work well together. |

It has impact! I keep coming back to it and I am trying to figure out what is bothering me about this image. My eye goes right to the middle, the bright orange reflection.
Then to the boats. For me, It is a confusing image because there is so much going on. Perhaps a crop from the bottom up to the reflection of the first boat on the left
would be more pleasing to me. |

What a lovely smile your sister has and lovely eyes which you have captured very well.! It is a pleasing portrait and she looks relaxed. I agree with Linda about the shoulder angle. For me, the back ground is distracting.

Phew! Here I am! Had computer problems and then it wouldn't except my log in. I think we are finally squared away!!!!
I find this image very pleasing. Yes, the curb once pointed out is a distraction and could have been avoided by getting down and shooting up at him but if you are like me, if I got down , I would probably fall flat on my face! Anyway, as a Photo Journalism shot, it tells a story. I love the fact that he is reading with no glasses, the over turned cup and yes the leaves. The tones are pleasing. Nice work. |
