Georgianne, I think you have a great idea. The window light and the drapes in the background. There is a lots of lines in the drapes that are a little distracting. The fruit look a little flat. The back of the bowl is in the shadow. I hope you are ok with me working with the original image. I cropped it and took out the line in the background. I use photoshop and camera raw. |

Denise, Great catch. Great contrast. Enjoyed the story of the two "Fuzzy Friends" hugging. I do think it is a little distracting with the white spots in the background. I used photoshop and clone tool to remove the white circles. I cropped the image to get the detail closer and I sharpen the image too. |

Jan, Love this image and I like the treatment you put on it. To me it looks like a painting. The only thing I would have done would be to take out the black tree in the background on the right side. I used Photoshop to take out the tree. |

Mary, I hope this will help. I may have taken it too far. I used Neural Filter: Skin Smoothing and Smart Portrait. I brushed in more lip stick on her lips, add some brown on her eyebrow. I used Camera Raw and brighten up her eyes. |

Carol, Wow! This could be a painting. Great work. I did learn something about Color Lookup. Great information. Thank you. I see on the right side bottom of this image there is something. It is near her dress. There is a green color on the step. I went into camera raw and hit auto and it gave the image just a little more contrast. I cloned out just a few fly away hairs on the top of her head. Beautiful Job! |

Hi Gary, Welcome to this PSA Black and White Group. I hope you will enjoy everyone as much as I have. I love this image. Good Eye. I have a visual feedback. I tried to pull out the shadows and make it as black and white as I could get it. I just wanted part of the image so I cropped it. I love the lines. I used Photoshop and Camera Raw to make the adjustments. |

Peter, I see something else that I like about this image. There is a triangle and it looks balance to me. I feel like the coat hanging on the right side gives the image balance. Great composition. |

Kathleen, I love your imagination. You see things that most photographers don't see. I feel like this image is art. I love the detail and the lines. The lines look like veins. The other parts of the vegetable look like skin. I did work on it for "my taste". I used Topaz DeNoise and Sharpen. I cleaned up some of the blemishes on the vegetable. |

Peter, When I first looked at this image. I saw a story. To me all the coats have a personality. It looks like they are talking to the lady or they can be her thoughts over her shoulder. She looks like she is in deep thought while she is smoking. I looked up Concrete Matter and it is a vintage clothing store. So there you go. LOVE IT! Great catch. I would not change a thing. |

Gerard, I love this image. I feel like this is a minimalist image. Just the tree and the snow. I do have a Visual Feedback. I really like the leading line to the tree. I used Topaz DeNoise and Sharpen. I use camera raw and selected the background and whiten it. I straighten the image by looking at the truck of the tree. I cleaned up some distractions in the background. I feel like this could be a Christmas Card or Post Card. Great job. |
