43 Aug 22 Reply I love this image in Black and White too. Great Job. Aug 14th
43 Aug 22 Comment Hi Lane, Thanks for the memories of a Car Hop. When I was young there was a place call Hoppers and a person would come out and take your order and serve you in your car. It was a great hangout. I am glad you choose to process this image in black and white. There is something going on in the sky. I see the same patterns at the top of the image and there is a black line that keep repeating. I have a visual feedback. I went into camera raw and made the sky a little darker to give more emphasis on the actions under the covering and I cropped out some of the sky and the sides. Aug 14th
43 Aug 22 Comment Leo, Beautiful colorful image. Good storytelling image. The boats are like people all different sizes, shapes, colors, and personalities. I agree with Bruce on the cropping and the framing. The only thing I would do is to remove the old tires on the right bottom. Aug 14th
43 Aug 22 Comment Andrew, I Love the impact of this image. Great Storytelling image. Lighting is well done. There is some highlights that could be tone down a little. I took the image into camera raw and selected the subject and inverted to get to the background and darken the background and move the texture and clarity slider to make the background softer. I have a visual feedback. Aug 14th
43 Aug 22 Comment Bruce, Two stories and two families. Great Hi Key image. I know it would be hard to do, but I would try to take the branch out of the face of the birds. One at the top and one at the bottom. I know you can't help where they have their heads. Aug 4th
43 Aug 22 Comment Mark, Yes that can work. Thank you for the Visual Feedback.

61 Aug 22 Comment David, I love this image. The one I like the best is the cropped one. I want to give this image my full attention and what is going on. I see repeating patterns with the circles on the flower and the circles on the beetle's back. I like the little white petals pointing to the insect, it is saying to me "look at me". Aug 5th
61 Aug 22 Comment Ingrid, I love the flower you picked out. This is a lovely image. Beautiful colors. I feel like at the right side at the top there is two different processing on the little bud. I do have a visual feedback. I went to the original image, cropped the image, used camera raw to darkened the background and radial filter to put more light on the flower. Aug 5th
61 Aug 22 Comment Shirley, What a beautiful image. I love to go out after a rain and take images of flowers. There is an arboretum near my home I love to go to. That is where I will be taking most of the images of flowers that I will be posting. I have a visual feedback. I cropped out the frame and clone and painted out some of the blemishes on the beautiful rose. I also went into camera raw and took a radial filter to pull out the shadows in the center of the rose. The petal closest to the camera is a little soft. Aug 5th
61 Aug 22 Comment Marti, Love the colors in this flower. With tulips I like a softer look too. I feel like you capture this image in good light. I have a visual feedback. I took the original image and cropped it square, clone out the background to make it black. I painted in a little yellow on the stamen. I darken the green leaves. The front petal is a little soft. With all that being said. I feel you have a lovely image and you did a great job with the more artistic image. Aug 5th
61 Aug 22 Comment Randall, Lovely image. I feel Marti's idea is a good one. Making the larger flower the subject and darken the smaller flower. I like the position of the smaller flower works well with the rules of thirds. Great contrast. I know this is a little picky, but I would clone out the the little white spots on the image. It's probably water droplet that the sun is hitting. Good job. Aug 5th
61 Aug 22 Comment Donna, I feel like we have a very great group. There is some good ideas on how to improve this image. I feel the same about the focus and picking the main focus and where do you want my eye to go. I hope you got to eat a few of these berries. Aug 4th

77 Aug 22 Comment Denise, I used Photoshop and made into BW and went into camera raw and selected the background and darkened the background. Then I selected the flower and added a little texture. I hope that helps. Aug 15th
77 Aug 22 Comment Denise, I like this image in color. But, I tried the flower in black and white and I love it. I can really see the lines and shapes of this beautiful flower. I feel like the color background is a little distracting. I appreciate the detail of this flower in black and white better. Aug 14th
77 Aug 22 Reply Great Job. Beautiful Image. Aug 14th
77 Aug 22 Comment Mary, This is an amazing image. I have two thoughts. The way you have it processed looks like very Artsy Fine Art piece. It would make a beautiful stainglass window. To me it looks too grainy. But that may be the look you are going for. I took the image and ran it Topaz AI sharpening. I took into camera raw and selected the trees to bring out more color. I feel like you have good composition, impact, creativity, center of interest and good story telling. Aug 14th
77 Aug 22 Reply Carol, I see what you are saying. The leaves keeps you in the image. Thank everyone for taking the time to critique this image. That is how I learn. Keep up the great feedback. There is not a wrong answer. Aug 7th
77 Aug 22 Comment Michael, Very artistic image. Love the texture and the color and contrast. The only thing that I would do is to darken the vignetting. Aug 5th
77 Aug 22 Comment Carol, This is a stunning image. I would love to have taken this image of this cow. I feel like you did an excellent job on the processing. I do see what Witta is talking about. The only thing that I would do is to pull out the shadows on the right side of the cow just a little. Aug 5th
77 Aug 22 Comment OK Thanks Aug 4th
77 Aug 22 Reply Does this look better? Aug 4th
77 Aug 22 Comment Love it. It is balanced and looks like a painting. Fine Art at it's best. Aug 2nd
77 Aug 22 Comment Great Job. I would not change a thing. I would love to know how to do this. I did register for Hazel's Conference in 2023. I am looking forward to that. She is going to speak to our camera club in September 2022. I love her work. Thank you for post this image. Aug 2nd

99 Aug 22 Reply I did take out the background, as you can tell by the image on the right side. I do understand what you are saying. I would have to keep having the young boy do the trick over and over until I can get the movement but still have his face in focus. Thank you for the suggestion. Aug 19th
99 Aug 22 Reply Yes, the vignette does bring the boy out better. Good idea. Aug 7th
99 Aug 22 Reply Yes, That is great...... Like it a lot. Thank you for the Visual Feedback. Aug 4th
99 Aug 22 Comment Hi Randy, What a great image to let your mine go wild. I feel like the name of the image fits the image. Looks a little like an abstract. SO, I let my mine run with it. I cropped off some of the right side. I flipped the image and I straighten the image and it brought her head too close to the top so I did add some to the top of the image in content aware. I found a brush that looked like hair so I cover up some of the High Lights in her hair. Thank you for letting me go a little crazy. Aug 3rd
99 Aug 22 Comment Michael, This is a beautiful image. Love the textures and tones. There is a black spot in the right corner that can be cloned out. I would crop the bottom of the image and have the horizon at the bottom of the rules of thirds. Keep up the great work. Aug 3rd
99 Aug 22 Comment Great expression and very good pose. The only thing I would change is to make the face a little softer and work on some small blemishes. I brought the image into camera raw and put a Radial Gradient filter around her face and took down the clarity and texture and lighten her skin a little. I did the same with her hands and darken them a little. I also made her lips a little darker to give them more contrast. Aug 2nd
99 Aug 22 Comment Love the texture of the background. Really like this image. You did accomplish what you set out to do. I feel like it is out of balance so what. I put it into camera raw and brought out the shadows a little. Aug 2nd
99 Aug 22 Comment I love the Daylily Flowers. I don't have any but my next door neighbor has them and I admire them. I feel like the subject is the flower. I see some water droplets on the petal of the flower and it looks very interesting. If the F stop would have been 5.6 or 2.8 it would have made the background less distracting. I have a visual feedback. Aug 2nd
99 Aug 22 Comment WOW, Kathleen you really got off to a great start. I feel the same about the crop that Gerard does. Other then the crop I would not change a thing. Beautiful Image. Aug 2nd
99 Aug 22 Reply Kathleen, Welcome to the group. I feel like you will have a good time and give me some good critiques. Looking forward to seeing your work. Nice meeting you. Aug 2nd
