14 Jan 17 Comment Thank you, Eleanor. Obviously I had a good deal of fun with this. No lady to impress that I know of, but mockers often do wonderful swirls. Jan 24th
14 Jan 17 Comment Thank you, Charissa! I am glad people appreciated what I tried to do. Jan 20th
14 Jan 17 Comment Thank you, Larry. This Mockingbird was really flipping around and so it was difficult for me to get some feather detail from him. Backlighting didn't help either. It was one of those shoot it or lose it times. : )

14 Jan 17 Comment Now THAT is interesting and very much interests me. I like the dynamics of it, although I might adjust the crop a bit. Thank you, Arun! Jan 9th
14 Jan 17 Comment Welcome, again, Stuart. I'm not family with the Flagler from this view, but I agree with Pat that the upper left is distracting. I am also a little disoriented, I'm afraid, but like the lighting pattern in the leading lines and the way the red flowers pull the eye down into the photo. Jan 9th
14 Jan 17 Comment Larry, good use of HDR to bring out the various lighting in this stunning shot. I love the coloring and composition, which is well balanced. The lighting on the trees on the right really lead my eye into the photograph. I would only darken the little tree left middle, since it holds me back from moving on to the rest of the image. In contrast, the lighting on the other little trees helps to guide my eye, too. Beautiful! You are lucky to have such a site right there at home. Jan 9th
14 Jan 17 Comment Pat, you were likely close to my home town area here on LI, where the storms can certainly show us some interesting weather and patterns in the sand. I love the image, but also see where Larry's version makes it bolder, with more contrast and a bigger painterly feeling. However, I do very much like seeing the grains of sand in yours. Jan 9th
14 Jan 17 Comment Wonderful capture, Arun. I remember this area well and you've photographed the ancient walls with the detail and coloring they deserve. The curving entrance is inviting and I feel like strolling along with Mom. More than nicely done! Jan 9th
14 Jan 17 Comment Thank you, Pat and Stuart. I see we have lost some people and gained others. So, welcome to the newcomers.

I appreciate your views, but Pat, I am inclined to agree with Stuart. I did intend to lead the eye to the bird and your rendition doesn't allow for that eye play.

LOL, Stuart. Yes, yes, it is live. I got real chuckle trying to imagine that propeller!
