Lisa, I love this. I would leave the balloon structure intact. Without it, the water version looks like a pixelated moon. I love your creative vision on this. |

This is your best painting yet. The motion and flow of the green leaves/foliage is fantastic. And good for you for noticing the "cut and paste" aspect.
I agree with Nancy and Gerhard that a stem would anchor the subject into the composition.
There is also a green blade in the bottom left that could serve as the flower leaf. So, to eliminate the cut and paste, I would paint a stem and this blade in a darker green tonality to make it appear as part of the iris. You did a great job.

To address your choices: I love the choice of an "indoor" purple background, rather than a landscape one. I think the purple works. And I also love that you simplified the carpet; and added great drop shadows.
Your brush strokes are fantastic.... love the detailed highlights and shadows in the blouse, apron and skirt. You did an excellent job with all your shading; adding texture to the basket, wall, etc.
I would not change one thing on this one. I love it. |

I like your final version, especially the purple/lilac tones that were brought out in the sky. For my eye, the horizon level seems to be just a bit lower on the right. I would use warp/distort to bring up (just a tad) the right side where the big tree sits. Other than that, I would not change a thing. Excellent result. |

What a perfect image for sky replacement. You were looking up at the statue anyway, so why not be looking up at the sky! And I even like that you can see the traces of the city from the sky image. The "electrify" filter really did electrify the image and bring out so much drama. I do like the finished version with all traces of the ceiling removed. Excellent composite. Very well done. |

The post processing you used made the carvings look like actual wood cuttings. I love the black halo/shadows in back of the subjects. Very creative and very well done. |
