Wow, another great use of an existing image for a perfect background. I love this technique. The creation of the complementary colored version of the original image does not take away from the subject. I love all your painting strokes, especially the highlights and shadows in the blouse and hat of the pirate. The blouse now looks soft and billowing, rather than hard and crisp. Job well done; I don't think it needs a repaint :-) |

I like very much what the Bliss processing has done for all the dancers; especially making the background dancers less recognizable. I think this image would work with OR without the older boy in the foreground. By leaving the boy in the composition, it fills up the negative space on the left and allows my eye to travel from him to the dancers. However, if you cloned that boy out, I could also appreciate the negative space (room to move) that is created for the dancers. Either way, though, my suggestion is to clone out the yellow tape, as it seems to split the image, and it takes away from the allure of the event. |

Your post processing choices really added to the drama and impact of this image. The resulting textures are wonderful. I also love that you kept the orange/pink/yellow color palette; and cropped out the green tonalities and replaced them with purple (especially in lower left). Very well done. |
