To be honest, the balloon strings were already set against a blue sky. I just applied the Oil Paint filter to the balloon setting and sky. I was not going to individually paint all the balloon strings. I did add a little bit of "fog" to make it look like Eddie was higher in the clouds. Only Eddie was painted using mixer brushes. |

Welcome to the group Jaci. Both Nancy and I are also in Elevate Your Art. It is a wonderful painting class.
I love this painting. The resultant crop from the original is perfect. I love all your brush strokes, especially on the hibiscus, as they are so gentle and sweeping. Your brush strokes also took away the busy-ness of the original background. I have two suggestions - they're minor, and they're also my personal preferences (so, no need to take either suggestion if you disagree). I would paint over the two small green areas in the upper left by extending the petal in that area. And I would personally better define the lower left, fifth, stamen. Excellent work, well done. I can't wait to see more of your paintings. |

Wow, you completely and excellently reversed the feeling of this image. In the original, the foreground flowers are dominant, with the mountains receding in the background. Your artistic choices changed that. The white vignette lessens the impact of the flowers. And now the mountains and lightpost can take center stage and draw us into this composition. The newly enhanced details in the lightpost and mountains are wonderful. You did a great job. |

Wow... first of all, you cant tell that this is a composite of three images. It is very, very, well executed. The cheetahs are painted excellently - I can just imagine how difficult it was to paint all those cheetah spots!! Isn't it fun using mixer brushes to paint? My only suggestion would be to look again at the adult cheetah's forelegs. There is a green tonality in the left front leg that will be easy to fix. Great, great painting. And, all four sets of eyes are wonderful; they really draw me into this image. |

I absolutely love this image. Your artistic choices were excellent. I can see brush strokes of various sizes and colors in every part of the image. I also love that it isn't overly "blurred;" I can still deduce its origin as a floral image. Excellent result. |
