What a great way to reduce those pesky halos. That is my best tip for this month!!! I will definitely fix those areas right now. Thanks for your great critique and powers of observation. |

Watercolor was the PERFECT medium for this image. The serenity of the scene was made even better with its watercolor tonalities. For me, I can actually sense the gentle movement of the wheat and background trees. Excellent rendition. |

I love this painting and I wouldn't change one thing. It must have taken you quite a bit of time to paint all the details of those flowers-your brush strokes are wonderful. The portions of this painting that I love the most are: the lighting on the base of the vase, the darker brown tonalities and MOSTLY those wonderful reflections of the subjects onto the table. I am so glad that you kept those in and did not paint the table in flat tones. Great, great image. |

Great concept to combine multiple shots into a composite. I like the impasto texture on the tree and sky as it gives the image great depth. I would personally eliminate/clone out the entire clump of branches in the lower right (especially as this branch is not visually connected to the main trunk); this would give great negative space on the top and bottom right side of the entire image. If possible, I might also try to get the birds a bit sharper by perhaps lessening the impasto on them. LOVE the branch with the Spanish moss!!! |

You brought this rendition to life. Your processing choices allows us to see the beautifully lit tree in the center of the "bridge." Using the bridge as a frame worked excellently; especially since you cropped out the sky and some of the foliage on the right. The resultant painting also seems "smoother" and "quieter" - without the harsh lines in the original bridge, I now get such a great sense of calmness. Great job. |

Wow!!! I love this. This version has such a wonderful, graceful, painterly feel. The monochrome rendition really brings out the contrast of the zebras stripes. I love the manes of the zebras and their reflections in the water. You did a great job on the background as well. I wouldn't change a thing. |
