Thank you Ian. This image was not created in Topaz, however. It used the "mixer brushes" that are included as a part of PhotoShop. Look into the use of the mixer brushes to create a painting from a photo. It's addictive and so much fun. |

I love the animated, and yet realistic, feel of your final result. It brought this image to life. (I wish we all knew what your process had been). I am totally drawn to this little girls face. I wouldn't change a thing.
Terry, congratulations also on your "Some Sound Bridge" image appearing in the June edition of the PSA Journal. It was an honor well deserved.

I applaud your vision to see this as a painting. Your choices of highlights, shadows, color and brush strokes have removed the "clutter" and "busy-ness" of the original image and created a marvelous painting. The inner stroke complements the colors of the berries, and draws my eyes to those three groupings. Well done. |

I love how you've "extracted" the soft and subtle center of this Narcissus. I especially now love the yellow lines that are radiating from the center. It gives the image some movement. Great job, I wouldn't change a thing. |

I love the textures that your processing choices have created in this image. Since my eye is drawn to the textures in the sky, church and sign, I would suggest some cropping to enhance those elements. I might crop about a third off the left - keep some of the fence and the wonderful open gate in the image. For me, the open gate serves as a leading line into the church. On the right, I would suggest a crop just to the right of the sign. I love the textures of the sign, so would leave that in. So, although both Terry and I suggest different cropping strategies, try both suggestions to see if you prefer any cropping. |

Being at the right place and at the right time makes so many images come to life. You're right - those shadows and reflections may not have been there at any other moment. For me, those shadows and reflections are the key components of the composition. I also love how the line of flags create a leading line towards the distant horizon. Your processing choices also created additional depth and contrast. Well done. |
