Thanks for noticing this. I absolutely agree. I now "overlayed" the original image, masked out everything but the ledge and then reduced the opacity (15%) to bring in more texture on the ledge. What do you think? |

Very, very nice indeed. This looks like a hand-painted watercolor image. You don't have to see all the details (including the faces of the young men) in order to understand and feel the image's impact. The white vignette gives the image a light and airy mood and enhances the scene. Wonderfully done. |

Everything in this image now seems to have come alive; the trees actually seem to be swaying in the breeze. The colors and contrast are enhanced wonderfully in your painted image. The corn rows as a leading line were an excellent compositional choice. I do like Terry's suggestion of a slight vignette; but I would add it only along the bottom. I love the sky and clouds as they are. Excellent image! |

You have created a wonderful composite. It came together seamlessly. And then the painting techniques you used created a wonderful mood and appeal. The sharpness of the main leaf and main grape cluster really appeals to me; I like that the surrounding leaves are rendered as more out of focus. And, I too, love the raindrops on the leaf. Great job! |

This is a WOW, what a great painting. The new background is fantastic, and really enhances the scene. Your painting choices on the elephants really brought out so many wonderful textures. I wouldn't change a thing. I envy you, you got to see this scene in the wild. |

I love the abstract quality you have created. The eyes are great! I don't know how you chose those wonderful colors (one eyelid blue, one eyelid red), but they all worked!! A great transformation. I have not reached this point in my lessons with Michelle yet; when I do, I will remember this image.
PS Love the "frame" and the subtle drop shadow. This is a a great finishing touch. Congratulations. |

I said that I painted every spot, which I did! But usually I reference that I painted "every damn pixel." Which I also did; every pixel is painted. Thank you very much for your comments. |
