There are so many things I love about this painting. I love the contrast of the hard background textures with the softness of the painted flower. I agree that it was a good choice to leave out the third flower. I also love the color options you employed - the purple tonalities are wonderful. And the now white lily is amazing. Who needs green leaves in the background - purple works just fine!! Great job. |

The colors, details, sharpness that are NOW exhibited in this image are absolutely wonderful. What a difference from it's original! The structure and detail of the bridge are in excellent contrast to the softness of the greenery. Many of us, perhaps even me, would have passed by this scene - especially while driving! I give you kudos for seeing it's potential. You have turned this into a work of art. |

You have rendered an excellent image - and it is definitely painterly. I love the "canvas-y" feel of the result. I like the final result as is - but, I might also try a second version with the main tree on the right rendered a bit softer. It's sharp edges and black lines are not as painterly as the rest of the composition. We might not even like the result of a softer tree, but I think it's worth a try!! |

I love every part of this composition, especially the leading line of the fence, and the trees on the left and right serving to frame the cabin. Great job treating the image in halves, in order to enhance and balance out the lighting. Your SnapArt choices were excellent in rendering this as a painting. And, yes, in retrospect, I guess I would have also taken out the lights in two of the windows. Great job. |

You can't beat fog and bright overcast conditions for a dramatic image. I love every part of this image, especially the painting techniques on the right most hills, and the colors that your techniques brought out. I, too, love the arching trunk and your chosen crop to remove the tree portions on the right. Excellent image, I wouldn't change a thing! |
