I feel that abstracts are creative in themselves. And what a wonderful way for everyone to see something different in their interpretation!! I do agree somewhat with Jerry that I would personally have chosen to crop some from the top and eliminate some of the negative space. Other than that, well seen, and well interpreted. And, it looks like your processing helped to serve as a polarizer; it seems that I can see deeper into the water's wonderful depths. |

Your technique really enhanced this image. My personal preference would have been to crop it a bit on the right, which would eliminate entirely the lady with the purse. Then the diagonal rope could be cloned out. Those are only MY recommendations. This image definitely stands out as a great reflection of days gone by. I love that the two children are so intent and interested on what is going on. And the black fill layer serves as a wonderful vignette to highlight the central theme and action. |

The original colors really work and definitely complement each other. Then, to add this extra effect really gives the image it's WOW appeal. Like the flowers now, my eye keeps going around the entire image. I love it. |

Very good concept. Did you also try it using the colored original with the B&W crossword? I think I agree with you that the B&W version of the woman works best.... it makes us really look and inspect the puzzle closely. Love the "shading" of the dark cells where the model's hair occurs. Great job.

I am also surprised with the resultant colors from a monochrome image. Very well done, and a great idea to try this. I love the color of the trees and the texture in the sky.
I bet it would also look great with a pastel colorization; which would also enhance it's vintage feel. |

Glow in the dark is a very apt title and rendition. I love the glow and you cropped the image to give exactly the correct area of most interest. I also like that the right hand part of the formation took up some of would have been negative space otherwise. Is it me: I see a bird with its beak looking up.... maybe singing!! I even see it's eye. |
