Thanks Betty, those ideas are great. I especially like the idea of the storm frightening him. So maybe some day, you'll see that as a different DDG post. |

Another great use of poster edges. By removing this treatment from the main subjects, we are drawn into their color and composition. Could you have changed the color (maybe using Hue/Sat or selective color) of the ribbon to green? That would have added icing to the cake!! |

I agree with Shirley that this is a great Nature shot.. and I would love to have it be mine. I think that the HDR treatment enhanced the image ....but has not given it a creative feel. And I'm at a loss at to what would work best creatively.... flood filter, motion blur, Topaz fur and feathers, reactor player, poster edges, etc. If it were mine, I would tend to keep it as a straight Nature story; but it sure would be fun to see what using creative techniques could produce.

I like the look of this creation. Now, instead of looking dense and busy, the greenery flows and creates a peaceful feeling. I might have darkened or added some vibrance to the foggy area at the top just a bit, though. And you corroborated what I have been finding - the reactor player does not work for all images. I recently purchased it and have not found an image yet that I like with it. I love the effect that others have created; so I will definitely continue the search for a suitable image. |

This is one of my favorite "infamous" Tinkerbell images!!! You do a wonderful job on resizing and fitting Tinker's mask. What do you use - transform?? The mask and the background are perfect complements to each other. I like the darkness on the left as it creates a leading line to Tinker and makes me wonder what escapades he is up to next! |

I love that the subtle shadows in the original have now been given depth and dimension using your creative techniques. And I agree with cropping out the floor. I know you asked Shirley for suggestions on variations; but I agree with you.......there are dozens of variations that could be made. And all of them would bring out other aspects of this wonderful abstract. |
