20 Dec 17 Comment I like this mixture of B&W and colorized. Even though the colored trees lead your eyes out of the image, I now imagine what is beyond the bend in the road; and I want to know more. I personally like this image and what the colored leading lines create. Dec 5th
20 Dec 17 Comment Hi Jerry and welcome. You have opened up the shadows nicely and this was needed. I would however, now, tone down the top of the rocks in the lower half of the image just a bit so that they are less "hot." My biggest suggestion is about the greenery. At about 3 o'clock and 7 o'clock, the greenery seems to have too much punch... and my eye is drawn there. I think these two spots need to recede more into the shadows (as shown in the original image); levels, curves or vibrancy should help them to be less obvious.

Otherwise, I like what Simplify did to the colors and textures of this image. It makes for a very impactful abstract.

20 Dec 17 Comment Very clever and very well done. I always like the way you "merge" the cat's fur into the background. It makes it seem seamless. My only suggestion for improvement would have been to darken down the top left corner of the background. Either use a vignette or clone some of the red colors and stars from the top right (even at a lower opacity). I also love the purple coloration now appearing at the bottom of the background - good flipping!!! Great job. Tinker has now become quite famous... or is it infamous!! Dec 4th
20 Dec 17 Comment I loved this treatment, especially the white vignette around the borders. The vignette even eliminated the road/path in the foreground, which would have been distracting if present. I love that this interpretation is now painterly, especially in the sky and trees.

I think I would have cloned out the metal railing on the left and the metal rod showing through the path on the right, though.

All in all, a great image and kudos for giving this a second look; it deserved it!!!

20 Dec 17 Comment This is a very nostalgic image. And since this is a Creative group, I think that this image would have benefited if a nostalgic treatment had been added. I know that NIK and Topaz have some very effective treatments that could have been added, making this image seem that it was from a simpler time (even the use of your favorite Media filter might have enhanced the nostalgic feel).

But, other than that, this was a good image to "see" and capture.
