Great comments, Karen. I have played with vignetting and focal changes on this image but couldn't get a satisfactory look. But it appears I should have persisted. Thanks. |

Your cloning attempt worked fine. Hummingbirds are very difficult to capture but your capture worked. Too bad that the left-hand bird didn't have a more 'photogenic' pose - but it worked out fine. My suggestion is that if you wish to portray items in silhouette, black and white may be a better medium. Converted to B&W (using Paintshop Pro) but I am sure Photoshop has that feature too. |

Very nice image. The sharpness and color of the lily is enhanced by the background blending of colors. |

A perfect crop to the well-captured image. Looks like the swagman I have always imagined. I cannot recognize any Maori features and the beard probably covers some of that up. But the hardness of his life certainly comes through. Well done, Martin. |
